Jonathan Majors Found Guilty of Assault and Harassment in Domestic Dispute

In a recent development, actor Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in Disney's Marvel franchise and "Creed III," has been found guilty of assault and harassment against his former girlfriend during a domestic dispute. The New York jury delivered the verdict on Monday, convicting Majors on one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree and a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation. While acquitted on another assault charge and one count of aggravated harassment, Majors maintains his faith in the legal process and looks forward to clearing his name.

Jonathan Majors, who was present in court during the reading of the verdict, maintained a straight face. He left the courthouse without making any comments to the media. His attorney, Priya Chaudhry, released a statement to CNN expressing Majors' continued faith in the legal process and his determination to fully clear his name.

Following the verdict, a source with knowledge of the matter revealed that Marvel Studios would not proceed with any future projects involving Majors. This decision comes as a blow to the actor, who was set to portray the villainous Kang in the upcoming "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty." The consequences of the verdict on Majors' career remain to be seen, but it is evident that the outcome of the trial has had significant professional ramifications.

The trial, which commenced on December 4, centered around a domestic dispute that occurred in March between Majors and his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors had pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and aggravated harassment. Prosecutors argued that Majors had resorted to physical violence during the altercation, alleging that he forcefully grabbed Jabbari's right hand, twisted her arm behind her back, and struck her head. In contrast, Majors' attorney maintained his innocence, labeling the accusations as "fake" and asserting that Jabbari was the aggressor in the argument.

During the trial, Jabbari testified on December 5, recounting the alleged assault in the backseat of a car during the March dispute. Prosecutors claimed that the incident occurred after Jabbari discovered a romantic text message on Majors' phone from someone else. The jury deliberated for approximately four and a half hours before reaching a verdict.

The guilty verdict against Jonathan Majors for assault and harassment in the domestic dispute case has brought significant consequences for the rising star's career. While Majors maintains his faith in the legal process and hopes to clear his name, Marvel Studios has decided not to proceed with future projects involving him. The trial shed light on the allegations made by Majors' former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, and the conflicting narratives presented by the prosecution and defense. As the legal proceedings conclude, the impact of this verdict on Majors' personal and professional life will continue to unfold.
